The City of Yankton Street Department will be closing 23rd Street, from Kellen Gross Drive to Shur-Lok Street, for railroad crossing repairs starting on Monday, June 2nd, 2025. The closure is anticipated to remain closed for one week. No through traffic will be allowed.
The Gavins Point Project will be extending the Crest Road closure until 2:30 pm July 1st, 2025. This will be a Full Road Closure including weekends until then. This is to support the spillway bridge rehab contract.

Construction underway on U.S. Highway 81 North of Yankton
Work is currently underway on U.S. Highway 81 between 302nd Street and 306th Street to extend the four-lane divided roadway north of Yankton.
The anticipated overall completion date for the project is November 2025.
