Exhibit: Lincoln And The Dakotas

Lincoln And The Dakotas is one of three temporary exhibits on display starting May 1st. It will feature artifacts from the museums collection and detail Abraham Lincolns impact on the Dakota Territory and its creation 160 years ago.

This exhibit will include The Mask of Lincoln poster exhibit, which presents portraits taken of Lincoln during his presidency and rise to national prominence. These images show the changing face that Lincoln presented to the world as he led the fight for the Union during the Civil War.

The Mask of Lincoln portfolio was developed by the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. This portfolio was made possible by a grant from the Smithsonian Women’s Committee.

Feed Your Mind: Linden Graber

The Mead Cultural Education Center hosts a monthly “Feed Your Mind” Speaker Series. On May 7th we will be
joined by local collector Linden Graber. Linden will at the Mead building from 12pm to 1pm to meet visitors and talk about his
vintage motorcycle and scooter. A pieces from his collection will be on display at the museum from May 1 to August 31. The monthly Feed Your Mind events are always free and open to the public.
