Fall Intermediate Archery – Monday Class

Intermediate archery teaches the 11 steps of shooting.
 
More development of each individual archer, competition lessons, scoring of target faces, mock pin shoots, assistance with bow tuning and sighting in. Shots at further distances and archery games.

2020 Field Tournament

Shoot 14 field, 14 hunter, and 14 animal targets. Shoot all 42 targets in 1 or all 3 days. July 24-26: Check in daily from 9am – 2pm. Casual start – Minimum group of 3. All NFAA styles and Divisions. No NFAA Membership Required.

Explore Bowhunting (Ages 7+)

Interested in learning skills that can pay dividends for a lifetime? Try our bow hunting class this summer
to learn the skills needed to bow hunt. Explore Bow Hunting teaches youth how to interact with the natural
world around them. This class teaches archers how to close the distance with an animal, and helps youth
relate to the age-old customs and skills involved in bow hunting. Bow hunting teaches youth how to
appreciate the natural world around them, and enhances their enjoyment of the outdoors by connecting
them with nature. A prerequisite course of introductory archery is required to participate in this class.
Examples of prerequisite classes are TRY archery, After School Archery, Introduction to Archery, or
Intermediate Archery. Fee: $50 + tax.

Postponed – First Dakota Archery Classic

The 2020 First Dakota Classic has been postponed. Original Date was April 17 – 19. New dates will be announced soon.

The First Dakota Classic is an indoor distance tournament featuring the NFAA Classic round and is a money shoot, guaranteeing 70% payback in all Flight and Championship categories.

The First Dakota Classic will feature a qualification round, followed by head-to-head eliminations.

TRY Archery

TRY Archery- Saturdays 11am-12:30pm- Beginner’s archery class for all ages. This is a great class for people curious about archery but are uncertain about signing up for classes; or parents checking if their kids are interested enough to sign up for classes. It’s also an awesome activity for friends and families looking for something to do on a Saturday morning. Open to everyone, no registration required, drop-ins welcome. Price is only $5.00 per person.

Archery Compound Adventure Day Camp ages 7+

Archery Compound Adventure Day Camp ages 7+

Archers will try a variety of games at the largest archery center in the world. Activities include target, 3D and field archery as well as crafts and bow birds (think trap shooting with bows). All equipment is provided, though archers are welcome to bring their own. Students must have completed the Explore Compound Archery class or equivalent safety class offered at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center (TRY Archery or After School Archery Classes for example) This is an outdoor activity, so dress appropriately. Please bring water, sack lunch and a snack. Class size 4-20

NFAA Outdoor National Field Championships

Join us at the 74th annual NFAA Outdoor National Field Championships in Yankton, SD July 26-28, 2019. This 3–day tournament features 1 field, 1 hunter, and 1 animal round.

This interactive class is open to anyone wanting to learn the basics of archery. Topics covered include fundamentals of shooting, safety and equipment. Play fun games and shoot at both spot and 3D targets. PLEASE NOTE: This class is a prerequisite for many classes and camps that require prior basic archery and safety course.  Class size 4-20.

Outdoor Adventure Day Camp ages 7+

Unplug and recharge by enjoying all that nature has to offer. Sitting on 100 acres of land, the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center is the perfect location for an outdoor adventure. This comprehensive class will include wilderness survival, archery and hiking. The class focuses on inviting camper to explore the world around them through hands on, outdoor experimental learning. Please bring water, sack lunch and a snack. Class size 4-20
